Every year, the Women's A Cappella Association (WACA) hosts its exciting and engaging SheSings Vocal Festival. The highlight of this weekend-long festival is the Saturday evening SheSings Showcase, which features award-winning, internationally acclaimed groups from near -- local Bay Area groups -- and far. WACA's dedication to diversity reveals itself in the eclectic mix of musical genres these groups celebrate; one Showcase could include anything from contemporary, to folk, to barbershop, to choral music. It's an uplifting, inspiring and thoroughly entertaining evening -- one not to be missed!
Thu performs in the Jazz Mafia Choral Syndicate. This mammoth ensemble is led by Jazz Mafia founder Adam Theis along with one of his main collaborators, Trance Thompson (Crossroads Collective). The Syndicate features such a vast lineup of bandleaders, solo artists and tastemakers, that referring to it as a “Supergroup” would be an understatement. Giving you “Chills down your neck” as well stimulation for your mind: that’s what Jazz Mafia’s Choral Syndicate is about to do.
